The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Donald Stout, Sr. can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Locust

We would visit Granny and Pa in Atchinson and Uncle Don and Charlene would come over.  The kids would all play outside catching fire flies and sit and listen to the older people visit.  Once I took a locust shell and put it on Charlene’s back while we were sitting on the sidewall by Granny’s hair salon out back.  She screamed so loud and took after me that Don almost fell out of his chair laughing.   He always had a smile on his face and loved Charlene and his children very much.  This makes it even a harder year with my sister Diana’s death May 30th.  I know Diana had a memory that could pin point events and I’m sure if she were a live, she would have many stories to tell about her Uncle Don.  Our thoughts and prayers are with ya’ll.
