Obituary for Shirley Marie White (Reese)
Shirley Marie White, 71, of Atchison KS died Tuesday, April 08, 2014 at the Atchison Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am on Friday, April 11th, 2014 at the Faith Bible Fellowship Church with Rev. Stephen Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday at the Becker Dyer Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Faith Bible Fellowship Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences and memories of Shirley may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.
Shirley M. Reese was born on September 1, 1942 in Rushville, MO, the daughter of Argyle and Irene (Farmer) Reese. She attended grade school in Iatan, MO and graduated from West Platte High School, Weston MO in 1960. She was a charter member of the Faith Bible Fellowship Church. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, growing flowers and plants, embroidery, playing bingo and star gazing in the evening.
She was married to Willard Ray White on August 17, 1970. Mr. White preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1981. Her parents, a son Daniel White, and five brothers, John, Willie, Lester, Everett, and Marvin Reese, and a nephew, David Reese preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, James Ray White, Leavenworth, KS. two daughters; Linda White, and Sandra Brott, both of Atchison, KS., two brothers; Tom Reese, Atchison and Lloyd Reese, St. Joseph MO., three sisters, Bonnie Richardson, Mary Bowman, and Betty Reese, all of Atchison, KS. , Seven Grandchildren, Ryan White, Alex White, Jeremiah Crouch, Matthew White, Aaron McKelvey, Sharon Wilson, and Kasandra Alexander and six great grandchildren, Dylan Michael Park, Kaleb White, Allison White, Mariska White, Amanda White, and Alexis Hermreck.
