Arthur Allen Martin, 71, of Atchison passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Atchison Senior Village.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Friday, July 17th, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 16th, 2015 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Atchison Hospital Auxiliary or American Lung Association, and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Allen was born on August 2, 1943 in Atchison, KS the son of Milburn and Lorene (Rayburn) Martin. He was a Union Auto Worker for Kenworth. Allen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was involved with Kennedy Callers, the jail ministry, Adult Bible Class, served as an Elder and Usher and sang in the choir. He volunteered with the Atchison Hospital Auxiliary and Atchison Senior Village. Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing and crafts; he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

He married Karen Buddenbohm on October 2, 1965. She preceded him in death on July 6, 2015. Survivors include two sons; Chris (Sunshine) Martin, Leavenworth, KS, and Jeff (Leah) Martin, Lancaster, KS, a daughter, Julie (Tom) Wilson, Atchison KS, a sister, Roberta Coloff, Fort Collins, CO, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. His parents and one brother; Robert Martin preceded him in death.
