Tony Dean Reese, 48, of Shawnee Mission, KS died Friday, August 15th, 2014 at the University of Kansas Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.

Funeral and Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Aug. 19th, 2014 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Champ officiating. Burial will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery, DeKalb, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, Aug. 18th, 2014 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Diabetes Assoc or the American Heart Assoc and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Tony was born on August 22, 1965 in Atchison Kansas the son of William Leon and Peggy Ann (Johnson) Reese. Tony attended Rushville Grade School and graduated from DeKalb High School in 1983. He attended the University of Missouri for two years and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Missouri-Western, St. Joseph, Mo. He worked as an accountant for the Terra-Con Engineering Company, Olathe, KS for over twenty-four years. Tony was an avid Missouri –Tiger Fan, and enjoyed all sports including the Kansas City Chiefs Football, Royals and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. He also enjoyed playing fantasy league sports.

Survivors include his father, Leon Reese, DeKalb, Mo., his Mother, Peggy Reese, St. Joseph, MO, his sister, Cindy Reese, Columbia, MO. and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cory W. Reese, (April 2012).
