Obituary for James Edware Berlien

James Edware Berlien, 66, of Lancaster, KS formerly of Lynnwood Washington passed away Tuesday September 6, 2011 at the Atchison Hospital.The body has been cremated. Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 24, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lancaster. Potluck luncheon will follow at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. John¡¯s Lutheran Church, Lancaster, KS or St. John¡¯s Lutheran Church, Bendena, KS. Online condolences to the family may be left at beckerdyer.com.James was born December 27, 1944 in Bremerton, Kipsap County Washington the son of Edward Bernhard and Alva Grace (Breitenstein) Berlien. He graduated with BA from the University of Washington. James was in the US Army 1st Calvary during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St.John¡¯s Lutheran Church Lancaster, KS. James enjoyed cars, reading, refinishing furniture, traveling and music.James married Jacqueline Rupley on March 31, 1978 in Seattle Washington. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include three sons; Benjamin Edward Berlien, Joel Andrew Berlien and James Robert Berlien
