Susan Kay (Kloepper) Jennings, 73, of Topeka, KS passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka.
Private graveside services and burial will be held on Thursday, April 30th, 2020 at the Nortonville Cemetery, Nortonville, KS. No visitation will be held at this time, but a Celebration of Life Service will be at a later date. Susan was born on January 27th, 1947in Leavenworth, KS the daughter of Lloyd and Edith (Hull) Kloepper . She was raised in Nortonville, KS and graduated from Atchison County Community High School, Effingham, KS in 1965. Susan attended Kansas State University, where she earned degrees in Home Economics and Early Childhood Development. She worked as a Social Worker for Shawnee County and the State of Kansas. Susan was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Topeka, KS and Sarah Circle of the church. Susan enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family.
She was married to Sam Jennings on June 7th, 1969 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Nortonville. He survives of the home in Topeka. Other survivors include her children, Stacey Jennings and Michael (Mary) Jennings both of Topeka, KS and grandchildren Laken, Caleb, and Anika Jennings, all of Topeka. Susan was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon (Kloepper) Ganger of O’Fallon, IL. She also leaves behind her constant companion, her dog, Buddy.
