Ruth was born December 8, 1949, in Junction City, KS, the daughter of William and Barbara (Kinney) Forsberg. She graduated from Junction City High School in 1967 and attended Manhattan Christian College and Ozark Bible College. She worked at a women and children’s shelter in Topeka, was a manager at a Topsy’s Popcorn store and worked and retired from the Kansas Department of Revenue. Ruth was a member of the Cummings Christian Church. One of her most memorable attributes was her eternal devotion and love for the Lord. Ruth was a member of a bluegrass band called Homemaid Jam. She enjoyed the Huff N Puff Hot Air Balloon Rally and could often be seen rockin’ the latest rally t-shirt. She fiercely loved all her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Ruth was blessed with a great sense of humor and lit up any room that she was in. She will be remembered as the fun, adventurous aunt with a mischievous side who may or may not have rubbed off onto the nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her Mother and Father, Sister (Marion Agnew) and Brother (Dan Forsberg Sr.)
Survivors include her sisters, Laurie Forsberg, Atchison, KS and Jody (John) O’Malley, Manhattan KS, brother-in-law, Fred Agnew, Atchison, KS, niece Lauren (Travis) Eichelberger, nephews, Adam (Alison) Agnew, Dan (Tammy) Forsberg, Jeff O’Malley, great nieces (Ashley Forsberg, Ella Eichelberger, Raeley, Reese and Greta Agnew), and nephews (Daniel and Josh Forsberg, Taylor Eichelberger, Graham Agnew) and one great-great nephew (Avery Forsberg) and a great-great niece on the way, also her Topeka family (Goodday); Sharon Painter, Janet Snyder, Nancy Nance, Jane Mckinney, and Julie Long.
