Obituary for Loretta Lucille Browning (Highfill)
Loretta L. Browning, 88 of Rushville, MO passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at the Medicalodge of Atchison, KS.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Champ officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, MO. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Loretta was born January 8, 1934, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of Harry and Lucille (Meyer) Highfill. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1952. Loretta was insurance clerk at Bell Agency and secretary at Commerce Company. She was a member of the Rushville Christian Church. Loretta enjoyed coloring books with her granddaughter, puzzles and hearing what her grandchildren were up too, word searches, reading, hummingbirds, cats and cooking.
Loretta married William Browning on July 9, 1966, at Rushville Christian Church, he preceded her on November 13, 2015. Survivors include a daughter, Susan and Charlie Kramer, Atchison, KS, grandchildren, Dillon, Blaine and Carlie Kramer.
She was also preceded by her parents, and an infant son Thomas Browning.
