Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your beloved Doug, a special gentleman, and neighbor who touched the lives of many and was much appreciated by all. May the wonderful memories of Doug continue to provide his family with comfort until God's promises are fulfilled. John 5:28, 29; Psalm 37:11, 29.

I don't know if there is enough space for me to write how much Doug meant to me, and how much many of you in the family mean to me. I worked with Doug for nearly 20 years at the hospital, and he would always stop in and visit, tell me stories about the family, tell me jokes and riddles, ask me questions about my family and where I was from. But I will never forget the look on his face when he would bring in gifts he had made for me and wait for me to open them up, and then just beam with such pride when I would thank him for them, and tell him how cute they were. He was always so thoughtful, kind, and giving. It never failed, if I needed some hard work done at the hospital, Doug was always the person I went to, because I knew I could count on him, and he would get the job done...and generally...those weren't the fun jobs. But he did them, and was always proud when he had accomplished his tasks. Doug was also so proud of all of his family, and loved everyone so much. There were times I felt like I knew everyone...even though I haven't met some of you!! In fact, I know there were times that I knew family secrets before they were supposed to be public (like some pregnancies!!) because Doug just couldn't keep the secret and he know I was friends of the expecting couple!! ;) I loved Doug like my own child (yes, even though he was older than me), and I will miss him tremendously. Thank you for sharing him with me, and allowing me to be part of your family!!! Prayers for all of you during this difficult time.
Love always, Merri Leach
