Dwight Walter “Ike” Smith, 66, of Kansas City, MO, died December 26, 2018 at Redwood of KC south in Kansas City, MO.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison, Kansas. Burial will follow at Muscotah Cemetery in Muscotah, KS. Condolences for the family can be sent to beckerdyer@sbcglobal.net.

Dwight W. “Ike” Smith was born on November 6, 1952, to Ralph and Mary (Brun) Smith in Washington D.C. Mr. Smith worked as a heating and cooling technician. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports especially University of Kansas, Chiefs, Royals and Notre Dame.

Survivors include brothers: Thomas P. Smith of Muscotah, KS, William J. Smith of Kansas City, MO. Three sisters: Nancy J. (Jerry) Perry of Topeka, KS, Jennifer M. Wortham, Tucson, AZ, Michelle (Steve) Minor of Bonner Springs, KS. Several nephews and nieces that will miss him dearly. Mr. Smith is preceded into death by his parents and a brother Ralph C. Smith.
