Marlene Emma Lutz, 90, of Nortonville, KS died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Village Villa Nursing Home, Nortonville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Thursday, Dec. 7th, 2017 at the St. Joseph’s Church, Nortonville, with Fr. Lazar Carasala as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Nortonville. A parish rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 6th, with visitation to follow until 8:30 pm at the O’Trimble Chapel, 329 Main, Nortonville, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Joseph’s Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Marlene Emma Weber was born on March 26, 1927 in Atchison, KS the daughter of Lawrence and Florentine (Zelfer) Weber. She graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1945. She had worked at Blish-Mize as an order picker before she was married to Raymond Albert Lutz on June 23, 1948. Mr. Lutz preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1974. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Church, Nortonville, KS, the Altar Society, and enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, and gardening and was an active member of the family farm.

Survivors include her children, Nancy (Joe) Krakowiecki, Peoria, IL, Ron (Peggy) Lutz, Nortonville, KS, Tom Lutz, Nortonville, KS, Debbie Lutz, Nortonville, KS., Marilyn (Paul) Holmes, Lenexa, KS, and Janet Krueger, Shawnee, KS., a sister, Imogene Kentzler, Atchison, KS, twenty two grandchildren , twenty-two great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Her parents, husband, a brother, Lawrence Weber Jr., and two sisters, Geraldine Gering, and Rita Weishaar preceded her in death
