Laurie Ann Emery, 52, of Atchison, KS died Sat. August 12th, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care Center, St. Joseph, MO.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Dinah Dutta officiating. Burial will follow in the Corpus Christi Cemetery, Mooney Creek, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to help with final expenses and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Laurie was born on Jan. 24, 1965 in Atchison, KS the daughter of Donald E. and Patricia (Portenier) Emery. She had worked as a private home health aide for many years. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, crafts, woodworking, and making homemade jewelry. She was married to Chip Hundley in 1981 and later divorced in 1983. She then married to Danny Flores in 1984 and later divorced in 1993. She was married to Pat Wentz in 1994 and later divorced in 2007.

Survivors include a brother, Patrick Emery, Atchison, two sisters, Brenda (Todd) Fidler, Perham, MN and Donna (Fred) Thompson, Atchison, KS, and eight nieces, Amanda, Megan, Tiffany, April, Ashley, Brittany, Samantha, and one nephew, Brandon, 16 great nieces and nephews and adopted sister, Pam Griffin, Atchison, KS. Her parents, a brother, Robert Emery and Bob Domann preceded her in death.
