The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Eugene Sittenauer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Brittany
Condolence: I wanted to send my sympathies to the Sittenauer family. I know the Anniversary of your dear loved one Eugene is approaching, so I was thinking about you. No doubt over the course if time you've reminisced about the memories that you've had with Eugene, and maybe that has brought to mind some sadness and lingering grief. Keep in mind the beautiful hope that is found in God's Word, the Bible. John 5:28,29 says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." This means that you and I have a chance to see our dear loved ones again, to be reunited with them right here on the earth, as God purposed. (Psalm 37:11,29) My thoughts and prayers will continue will continue with your family.

Condolence: I moved to KC with what could fit in my car and a little two year old. Days later Uncle Gene and Aunt Darlene showed up with furniture. The love, hospitality, generosity, and my aunt and uncle has been a precious gift. They never judged me, made sure Robert and I were included in everything. They were the parents I needed in the US. They are a large part of the person I am today - because of their priceless gift of unconditional love. Words will never describe who they were for me when I needed them most!!!

Condolence: I am sorry to hear about the passing of Gene. He was a man who loved his family, and we had many discussions over the years about his children and athletics. I believe you can tell a lot about a man by his children and the Sittenauer children were among the finest I had the pleasure to coach. My prayers are with you, God bless you all.

Condolence: My sympathies to the Sittenauer family. I'm so sorry for your loss. It's no way to really describe the pain one feels when he or she loses a loved one in death. Feelings of sadness and grief can be so overwhelming during this time of mourning. However, comfort from the scriptures can give you hope. John 5:28,29 speaks of the promise of the resurrection hope. What this can mean for your family is a real hope of being reunited with your dead loved ones at a time when "death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4) May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time.
