The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Darlene Sowers can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Brittany
Condolence: I wanted to send my love and sympathies to the Sowers family. I know the Anniversary of your dear loved one, Darlene, is approaching. No doubt this has brought back to mind some emotional thoughts and feelings of sadness, but hopefully you're able to reflect on the good memories you've had as well. Keep in mind that beautiful promise found in God's Word, at John 5:28,29, which says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." What this can mean for you is a real hope of being reunited with your loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. So as you reflect on the times spent with Darlene, keep this comforting thought in mind for the days ahead. There will soon be a time when we'll not only be able to welcome our loved ones back to life, but we can truly experience the words "death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4) My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Condolence: I remember when the Sower's family lived on Sixth street and I lived at Fifth and Division in the late 1950s. Connie, Jeannie, and I were neighborhood gal-pal friends and Darlene was kind and good to all of us. I recall her getting a shoebox for us to bury a dead bird in their back yard and having afternoon Kool-Aid and cookies at their house. Darlene was patient and a good role model for women. My sympathy to the kids.

Condolence: My deepest sympathies to the Sowers family. I am very sorry for your loss. I know that your family is mourning the loss of a dear loved one. This indeed is a very painful time. Please accept my sympathies. Rest assured that our loving God, Jehovah is certainly aware of how you're feeling. In His Word, the Bible, he promises to raise up the dead through the beautiful hope of a resurrection. (Acts 24:15) May "the God of comfort" give you the strength to get through the days ahead. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)
