Ronnie E. Foster, 65 of Atchison, KS, died presumably on Thursday, May 26th, 2016, at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Atchison, KS, with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow at High Prairie Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Family will receive friends from (6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, May 30th, 2016 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association or Disabled American Veterans and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Online condolences maybe left at www.beckerdyer.com.
Ronnie was born March 8, 1951, in Atchison, KS the son of Beryl Dean and Mary D. (Filbert) Foster. He graduated from Maur Hill Prep in 1969 and attended the Universal Technical Institute in Houston TX receiving a degree as a Diesel Mechanic. Mr. Foster served in the United States Army from 1975-1978. He worked as a Correctional Officer for the Lansing Correctional Facility for twenty years, retiring in 2008. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on race cars, wrestling and especially his family.
He was married to Anna Jones in 1969 and later divorced. Ronnie later was married to Juanita Bryant in 1979 and they later divorced. Survivors include three daughters, Renee Hall, Atchison, KS, Tina Smith, Sandefer, AZ, Nicole Foster, Cameron, MO, a step-daughter, Faith Paxton, Atchison, KS, two step-sons, Kenneth Paxton, Atchison KS, Frederick Paxton, Atchison, KS, three sisters, Carol Diane McFeeters, Savannah, GA, Marie Irvin, Council Bluffs, IA, Diane Levitt, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steven D. Foster.
