Obituary for Clarence N. ""Norman"" Higley

Clarence N. "Norman" Higley, 83, formerly of Everest, KS, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Atchison Senior Village.

Graveside service and burial will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 22, 2016 at Horton Cemetery, Horton, KS, with Pastor Al Schirmacher, officiating. Memorials are suggested to NEK Hospice and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison KS. Online condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.
Norman was born July 3, 1932, in Cummings, KS, the son of Clarence and Viola (Mayfield) Higley. He served in the United States Army National Guard. Norman was a firefighter with the City of Topeka, KS. He was a member of the Horton Christian Church, and enjoyed playing guitar and photography.

Norman married Emogine Reeves they later divorced. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne and Rusty Frakes, Horton, KS, two sons Dean and Rita Higley, Everest, KS, Nick Higley, Topeka, KS, two brothers; Don Higley, Atchison, KS, Tom Higley, Basehor, KS, and a sister, Lois Ann Lindsey, MO, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents a brother, Fred Higley and a sister, Marie Fehr.
