Obituary for William Mathewson "Bill" Browning

William Mathewson “Bill” Browning, 82 of Rushville, MO, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015, at Atchison Senior Village.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 16, 2015 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Tim Champ officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, MO. Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Rushville Christian Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Bill was born January 9, 1933 on the farm in Rushville, MO the son of William H. and Elsie (Bedner) Browning. He attended Rushville High School. Bill was a farmer and worked for Rockwell in the furnace department for thirty- eight years, retiring in 1995. Bill enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and was an avid Cardinals baseball fan.
Bill married Loretta Highfill on July 9, 1966 at Rushville Christian Church. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include a daughter; Susan and Charlie Kramer, Atchison, KS, a brother, Bob (Jane) Browning, Atchison, KS, two sisters; June (Don) Steele, St. Joseph, MO, Mary (Bob) Shuck, Atchison, KS and three grandchildren, Dillon, Blaine and Carlie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Thomas Browning, a brother; Ed Browning and a sister; Betty Weitlich
