John  Paul "Jack"  Schneider
John “Jack” Paul Schneider, 68 of Lawrence, KS passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Nortonville, KS with Abbot Barnabas Senecal, OSB as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Parish rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2015 with visitation following until 8:00 PM at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton & O’Trimble Funeral Home, Atchison, KS. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.

Jack was born February 11, 1947, in Nortonville KS, the son of Charles and Oleva (Good) Schneider. He was a meat cutter and worked at several local grocery stores, Valley Falls IGA, Vandykes, Arensbergs IGA, Sharps and Country Mart. Jack was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Nortonville, KS, ELKS, VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking especially a greasy breakfast, canning tomatoe juice and hot sauce, football, baseball was his all time favorite.

Jack married Janet Kesse on October 15, 1971, they later divorced. He married Kathleen Farrell in August 1989, and later divorced. Survivors include his children; Sara (Matthew) Noll, Winchester, KS, Pete (Lindsay) Schneider, Lawrence, KS, Alan Schneider, Lawrence, KS, Charlie Schneider, Lawrence, KS, three brothers; Ralph Schneider, Mound City, KS, Dale Schneider, Atchison, KS, Pat Schneider, Rossville, KS, two sisters; Evelyn Bernica, Topeka, KS, Betty Coleman, Valley Falls, KS, four grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Abraham Noll and Alexis Schneider, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; Kenneth, Harold, Richard Schneider, and a sister; Linda Talley.
