James Francis "Jim"  Shufflebarger
James ‘Jim’ Francis Shufflebarger, 60, Lancaster, KS, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015, surrounded by his family.

Memorial service will be 11:30 AM, Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Lancaster United Methodist Church, Lancaster, KS, with Rev. Jeff Cochran and Rev. Carl Shufflebarger officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 AM prior to the service at the church. The Becker-Dyer-Stanton is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions are the donor’s choice and may be in sent in care of the funeral home. Online condolences to the family may be left at www.beckerdyer.com

Jim was born February 10, 1955 in Atchison, KS, the son of Harry and Mary Lou (Zacharias) Shufflebarger. He graduated from ACCHS in 1973 and attended NEKS Technical School. Jim worked as a carpenter for Jack Dorrell Construction Company. He was a member of Lancaster United Methodist Church and the Carpenters Union. Jim enjoyed fishing, cards, backgammon, playing pool, drinking beer while working on things and being outside. He especially loved spending time with his kids and family.

Jim married Robbin Finch on December 2, 1978 in California, they later divorced. Survivors include a son; James (Denise Gilligan) Shufflebarger, Emporia, KS, a daughter; Sara (Matt) Huntwork, Manhattan, KS, three brothers; Carl (Cindy) Shufflebarger, Vancouver, WA, Paul Shufflebarger, Roanoke, TX, John Shufflebarger, Lancaster, KS, five sisters; Barbara Howell, Kansas City, MO, Karen (Terry) Blount, Topeka, KS, Evelyn (Carl) Bosch, Effingham, KS, Ruth Meyers, Leavenworth, KS, Greta Shufflebarger, Clearwater, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
