Loren Leland Liggett, 59, of Atchison, Kansas died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Mosiac Life Center, St. Joseph, MO.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Sat. May 23rd, 2015 at the Becker Dyer Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Nancy Kollhoff officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Effingham, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 pm on Friday, May 22nd, 2015 at the Becker Dyer Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Liver Foundation or the Atchison United Way and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Loren was born on July 25th, 1955 in Pittsburg, PA the son of Carl J. and Donna V. (Kemp) Liggett. He graduated from Clovis High School in Clovis, New Mexico. Mr. Liggett worked as a warehouse supervisor for Mid-west Grain Products for close to 40 years. He enjoyed sports, watching his girls play volleyball and softball and especially coaching little league baseball and football for the Red Ravens Teams. Loren helped on the chain gang for football games, enjoyed fishing, hunting, horses and bull riding. He was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan.

He was married to Mary Siskey on Nov 28, 1992. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include a son, Scott Liggett, Cummings, KS, three daughters, Halee and Hannah Liggett, of the home, and Crissy Liggett, Nortonville, KS. two brothers , Stephen Liggett, Arvada, CO, and Joe (Diane) Liggett, Granbury, TX, four sisters, Jamie (Robert) Lewman, Cummings, KS., Teresa (Charles) Siedl, Albuquerque NM, Donna (Paul) Vernon , Clovis, NM., and JoAnna Liggett, Clovis, NM, a grandson, Chance Liggett, a step-mother, Luigia Liggett, Clovis, NM, and several nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him death.
