Martha Elizabeth Ellis, 36, of Atchison KS died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 29th, 2015 at the Atchison Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Atchison. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on Monday, Feb. 2nd, 2015 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to First Christian Church or the Faith Bible Fellowship Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Martha E. Ellis was born on July 9th, 1978 in Atchison Kansas the daughter of Benjamin Ellis and Sharon (Hotham) Ellis-Sowers. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1998. Martha worked for a short time as a certified medication aide at Vintage Park, Atchison. She also had worked at Wal-Mart, and Orscheln before medical problems kept her from working. She was a Green-Bay Packers fan, enjoyed surfing the web, playing games on her cell phone and watching television. Martha’s favorite things were dolphins, butterflies, and going with her family to Lake Fest every year.

Survivors include her father, Benjamin Ellis, Maitland, MO, her mother and step-father; Sharon and Bradley Sowers, Atchison, KS., five children; Tanner, Cheyenne, Tristen, Trace, and Trevin. Her maternal grandmother, Shirley Denton, Atchison, and paternal step grandmother, Anna Sowers, Atchison, KS. Two brothers; Jeremy Ellis, Atchison, KS and Curtis Ellis, Mission, KS, two sisters; Kendra (Chris) Conti, Galena, MO., and Jacki (Clint) Beshears, Kansas City, MO.
