Janet J. Lee, 73, Atchison, KS passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014, surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Wednesday December 10, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Atchison, with Fr. Gabriel Landis, OSB as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Pat’s Cemetery, south of Atchison. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 9, 2014 with visitation to follow until 9:00 pm at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison. Memorial contributions in honor of Janet are suggested to the American Cancer Society or St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and may be left in care of the funeral home. Words of remembrance and comfort may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Janet was born August 31, 1941 in Atchison KS, the daughter of Andrew and Florence (Van Horn) Servaes. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working at Home Health, Valley Hope and Village Villa. Janet was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Atchison, KS. She enjoyed gardening, baking bread, taking care of her yard and watching Sunday football, Go Green Bay Packers.

Janet and Richard Lee were united in marriage on September 5, 1959 at St. Joseph’s Church in Atchison. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2014. Survivors include a son, Richard (Randi Sue) Lee, Jr., Atchison; daughters, Theresa Burbank, Huntsville, TX, Susan (George) McGhee, St. Louis, MO, Sandra (Joe) Cerreta, Abingdon, MD, Sherry (Paul) DeMaranville, Potter, KS, and Lori (Stephen) Payeur, Leavenworth, KS, three brothers; Leroy, Phil and Larry Servaes, Atchison, KS, three sisters; Joan Ragsdale and Rita Rookstool, Topeka, KS and Dorothy Lee , Spokane WA, nine grandchildren; David Burbank, Christee Bielamowicz, Megan Goodall, Andrew DeMaranville, Emily Payeur, Ethan Payeur, Matthew DeMaranville, Sara Cerreta, Kaitlyn DeMaranville, and five great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Louis, Eugene and Richard Servaes, three sisters; Donna Urban, Carole Noll and Mary Anne Kahling.
