Marsha Rose  Simpson
Marsha Rose Simpson, 28 years old, of Atchison, KS, died Thursday Sept. 4, 2014 at her home surrounded by loving family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Sat. Sept. 6th, 2014 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Benjamin Ockree , Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Sumner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, Sept. 5th, 2014 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Spina Bifida Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Marsha was born on May 22, 1986 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS, the daughter of James F. and Mary (Smith) Simpson. Marsha was born with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, but that did not stop her from graduating from Atchison High School in 2007. She was a very special daughter, sister, and friend to everyone who met her. Marsha enjoyed watching television, playing video games, butterflies, and especially being an aunt to her nieces and nephew. Marsha worked for a time at Achievement services and at Wal-Mart as a cashier and greeter.

Survivors include her mother and step father, Mary (Robert) Frisbie, who cared for her at home. Two sisters, Cynthia (Eric) Gilliland, Kansas City, KS, Janthine (Jess) Pittman, Lee’s Summit, MO, a half brother, James Simpson, Kansas City, MO, three nieces, Taylor Renee Pence, and Aurora Jean Roope, Lee’s Summit, and Molly Scanlan, nephew, Liam Scanlan, Kansas City, MO. Her father preceded Marsha in death.
