Obituary for Helen Cecelia Sullivan (Sullivan)

Helen Cecelia Sullivan, 70, of Overland Park, KS died Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the F.W. Huston Medical Center in Winchester, KS.

Cremation; no services or visitation will be held. A private family inurnment in the Mercier (KS) Cemetery will be held at a later date. The O’Trimble Funeral Home, Nortonville is entrusted with local arrangements.

Helen was born October 25, 1943 in Horton, KS, the youngest of thirteen children to Justin and Loretta (Burris) Sullivan. She graduated high school from Mt. St. Scholastica Academy in Atchison, KS and also from Marymount College in Salina, KS. Helen worked for the Miami Heat Basketball team, developing the franchise. She also worked as a college class book broker for many years. Helen was a member of the St. Joseph Sisters in Concordia, KS, for five years.

Helen is survived by a brother, Tim (Susie) Sullivan of Hiawatha, KS and a sister, Kathleen (Bernard) Weishaar of Nortonville, KS.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers, Paul, Gilbert, Leo, Tom, Jim, Charles, Dan, and Terry Sullivan; two sisters, Maureen Ruggles and Margaret Pianalto.
