Robert Matthias "Bob"  Krier
Robert M. Krier, 83, of White Cloud, KS, passed away Sunday August 10, 2014, at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, KS.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at St. Louis Church Good Intent with Father Benjamin Tremmel, OSB as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a Parish Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM, Tuesday August 12, 2014 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral, Atchison, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Louis Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at beckerdyer.com

Robert was born February 13, 1931 the son of Matthias and Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Watowa) Krier. He attended St. Louis grade school then Maur Hill Prep. Robert joined the United State Navy and served for five years during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Mid West Grain as a truck driver for thirty-seven years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Louis Church, Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Robert enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

He married Ruth Abbett on June 24, 1962. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2012. Survivors include two sons; Robert Krier, White Cloud, KS and Brian and Jeanette Krier, Atchison, KS, a brother; Francis ‘Sonny’ Krier, Effingham, KS, and two sisters; Mildred Hoffman, Denton, KS and Lucy Hibbs, Humbolt, KS five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Anna May Volmer
