When we remember Aunt Joan, a smile comes quickly. Her sense of humor and laugh will always be remembered. She knew a lot about kids, her own, and others lucky enough to be near her. When Dick was a child he recalls how he spent almost as much time at Aunt Joan’s as at his own home and looks upon those times as some of his best….cousins were more like brothers and sisters. Aunt Joan was such a creative person….her paintings enjoy a special place in our home. She was never without a project. The Hager family is known for its card games and she never liked to miss one but she didn’t go lightly on you if you were younger. The word shark comes to mind. We enjoyed her 90th birthday party. Our grandson asked her if she was really that old because he thought she was younger and pretty cool. She laughed and
